SAMPHIRE is down a quiet lane just off the main coastal route between Newquay and Padstow.  There is a lot to do within a short distance of this peaceful accommodation. The coastal walks enable you to enjoy some stunning scenery, with fishing from the rocks and cliffs, and organised boat trips from picturesque Padstow.

An 18 hole golf course, driving range, pitch and putt, tennis courts, surfing and swimming from the lovely sandy beach, wetsuit and board hire is available at ‘Betty’s Shop’ and surf lessons can be arranged.

The friendly pub has very good and reasonably priced food, a garden overlooking the beach, welcoming children and dogs. There is also a small restaurant nearby and further shop selling almost everything. There is plenty to do in Newquay and Padstow, both approximately 6 miles away, should the weather be less than perfect.

The ground floor flat accommodates up to 4 people. In the sitting room is a large and comfortable sofa bed, remote colour TV and arm chair. All windows look out onto the garden. The kitchen/diner is fully equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, pine tables and benches. A newly fitted shower room has WC and hand basin. In the bedroom are 2 single beds, wardrobe and dressing table. All bedding [duvets] and linen [except towels] is provided at no extra cost. If you require a baby sitting service please ask.

The entrance to the accommodation opens onto a lawned, spacious and safe garden. There is a picnic table, garden chairs and surfboards available for your use. Off road parking. Electricity by £1 coin slot meter.

Mawgan Porth is situated at the seaward end of a rich green valley. The beach is typical of those along the North Coast and is very popular with surfers. At low water a large expanse of sand is uncovered thus providing ample space for games and recreation.

The pub, small supermarket and newsagent which overlook the beach are open year round for visitors.
